The sporran is both a wallet and a form of genital armor. Similarly, this Scottish Ale is both a fruit beer and a creamy, malty ale. The caramel, toffee and toasty flavors begin in the malt bill and are bolstered by a small lactose addition. Plenty of black currants then went into the fermenter to round out the dark fruit flavors and add an unusual sweetness. The result is suitable both for times of peace and times of war.
