Collaboration brew with Cervesa del Montseny in the Cantalonia region of Spain. Brewed on the day that everyone in Spain takes the day off to roast chestnuts on an open fire, we made our guests feel right at home by doing the same thing, only putting those chestnuts in a beer. We started with a high gravity brown ale recipe and then adding the fire roasted and hand shelled chestnuts in the last part of the boil, to bring a slightly nutty, roasted and smoky flavor. We then aged the beer for 90 days in bourbon barrels. Hola Guaupo!
