March 18, 2023 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Louisville’s 2nd Annual Burgoo Bash

Against The Grain Team Behind Pro-Am Culinary Competition

The Burgoo Bash

Downtown – Kentucky’s second favorite export, Burgoo, gets an overdue spotlight moment in a hands-on upcoming event being put together by the Against the Grain team and sponsor Monks Road Bourbon.

On Saturday, March 18th at 3pm, Against The Grain will be host to Louisville’s 2nd annual Burgoo Bash: a Pro-Am cook-off aimed at bringing out the best amateur and professional Burgoo makers in the region.   The Burgoo Bash benefits APRON Inc, a non profit organization focused on supporting service industry folks in need.

Burgoo, the uniquely Kentucky stew, is interpreted in a multitude of ways and they’re all welcomed to be showcased at the Burgoo Bowl. Participants will compete for top honors in three categories: most creative recipe, people’s choice and best in show. Prizes include trophies, gift certificates and more importantly, bragging rights. ALL SO NEW THIS YEAR, A BOURBON COCKTAIL CONTEST (INFO HERE!)
