Wham!mstein: A Tribute to Andrew Ridgeley
Because George Michael isn’t German.
A blend of Munich and caramel malts lend this Mocktoberfest a smooth, slightly roasty, and noticeably caramely flavor. It is called a Mocktoberfest because we fermented with an ale yeast rather than a lager yeast as is done for traditional Octoberfest beers. Slightly cooler fermentation and careful filtration help us to mimic the clean, crisp characteristics of a traditional Octoberfest without having to age it for quite as long. Additions of German noble hops Tettnanger and Hersbrucker lend a clean, subtle bitterness to balance the sweetness of the malt. This is one for mass consumption on cool Fall evenings.
