The Willsner
We almost named this beer Dickhead.
A crisp pilsner at heart, this beer also saw the additionof a generous dose of wheat in the mash. You will notice a clean, very quaffable flavor that rests on a soft, fluffy body. Late boil additions of the German noble hop Tettnager lend a palate-cleansing bittnerness that starts strong and vanishes quickly. The use of a South German strain of lager yeast appropriately dries the beer and leaves a simple and unobtrusive yeast character that lends just a hint of fruit-juiciness and doesn’t get in the way of the rest of the beer.
