Myrcene Is For The Weak
No myrcene for swine!
This unusual hop brew is a trainwreck of a malt bill followed by a sacktap of a hop bill. A variety of toasty, caramelly, oaty, sweet, and creamy malts lay on top of a pale malt base and then a blend of myrcene-rich hops like Simcoe and Falconers Flight assault the nose and palate. Myrcene is one of the oil compounds in many hops and is responsible for a lot of the perfumey, resinous, “green” flavor and aroma in many of the more “American” versions of older beer styles. This beer has enough myrcene to make you cry. And we want to see you cry.
